The first Home Healthcare Conference, hosted in collaboration with Manzil Healthcare Services and Partners Healthcare At Home, was held on March 17, 2017 in Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event highlighted key trends and challenges around providing home healthcare. Partners HealthCare at Home and Manzil are committed to delivering compassionate care across the healthcare continuum to improve quality of life for persons recovering from, or learning to live fully with, illness, injury and disability.
This year’s inaugural conference at the Four Season highlighted key trends and challenges around providing home healthcare, such as Ventilator at Home services and included key stakeholder commentary and panel discussions around how home healthcare can impact and improve patient care, quality of Life for patient’s and reduce healthcare costs. The event aimed to help medical professionals learn about the latest best practices in terms of providing quality care at home as well possible strategies to better coordinate patient care across care settings.
Several members the Partners HealthCare at Home team where featured speakers at the conference. Keren Diamond, COO of Partners HealthCare at Home, spoke on “Home Health Value Based Purchasing.” Judy Flynn, Vice President of Patient Care Quality, presented on “Improving Patient Outcomes and Reducing Costs through Home Care” and Judith Arneson, Clinical Projects Specialist and Staff Education, presented on “Identifying and Mitigating Patient Complications in the Home Setting.”
