Partners HealthCare at Home’s Annual Tee-Off golf tournament, held recently at the Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, was the most successful to date, raising more than $530,000 in support of Partners PHH’s Annual Fund. Since it began, the Annual Tee Off has raised more than $4 million for programs such as life-saving telemonitoring services for cardiac patients, care for high-risk infants and mothers, and medication and care for uninsured patients.
Bank of America once again joined us as the title sponsor for the event along with many other sponsors including Bridgewater Associates, GRT, and Water Street (visit our website at http://giving.partnersathome.org/golf for a complete list of sponsors).
More than 200 golfers came out to support the event which included a hole in one contest for a boat from Nauset Marine. Another highlight of the day included a special food tasting provided by the Foodzilla food truck, featuring former Hell’s Kitchen contestant chef Ray Alongi.
The day concluded with a post-golf dinner featuring a special presentation by Muji Karim, a former Partners HealthCare at Home patient and bi-lateral amputee. Muji shared his story of tragedy and triumph as he now trains for the 2016 Paralympics in Rio. Muji was reunited with his nurse Tina Soletti, who was delighted to see how far Muji has come over the past 5 years.
