Rosemary Dwyer, RN, is the 2013 recipient of the Anne A. (Chaplick) Donohue Award, which was created in memory of Anne A. (Chaplick) Donohue by her son Edward T. Donohue. This award will be presented annually to a PHH nurse from the Blue Hills team who best exemplifies the caring, dedicated and hardworking spirit of Anne A. (Chaplick) Donohue.
Donohue graduated from the Nashua Memorial Hospital RN training program in 1931 and served as a school nurse in the Nashua public school system for 15 years. After her marriage, she later went on to serve as a private duty nurse on the South Shore of Boston for many years. The award has been set up to recognize those, who like Anne, have given so much of their lives to helping those in need.
Each award recipient will receive funds to advance her/his career training.
